Job Title: Technical Designer (CAD)
Based: McKinney, TX
Position Reports to: President and Design Services Manager
Job Responsibilities:
Produce drawing sets, including layout plans, installation details, and other plans or sketches as needed for various commercial building envelope products.
Translate ideas, sketches, and specifications into complete and accurate working plans.
Coordinate with co-workers and customers to gather project-specific information.
Organize, develop, and manage detail library, title blocks, and file organization/storage.
Interpret, design, estimate, and communicate daily quotations on projects with Tapered Roof Insulation in the specification.
Work daily with architects, general contractors, and roofing contractors on design and budgetary constraints.
Communicate with contractors on revisions to projects to close the sale.
Maintain organization of quotes in CRM and use CRM system for follow-up on quoted projects.
Training and onboarding will be provided to learn TaperPlus software and commercial roofing systems.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD.
Associate degree in drafting and/or Certified AutoCAD User/Professional preferred, but will accept previous experience subject to verification.
Able to read and understand blueprints.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments.
Take initiative on tasks.
Must have good communication skills and the ability to work with a team.
Total Compensation:
Base salary of $50,000 per year, benefits, and annual bonus potential. Compensation package is commensurate with experience, proven performance, and aptitude for the position. Necessary equipment, training, and resources included. References are required.
